The one on the right looks like the Voltage Regulator.

Those look like the speed relays mounted below the coil area that activate the small dashpots that control vacuum in the smog equipment. Most owners delete these as they aren't needed, especially if you have removed the EGR components.

They are the emissions speed sensors for the 2 vacuum switches mounted on the firewall to control advance/retard of the distributor.

Answered by LJI: smog stuff, remove and discard.

And run the advance/retard vacuum lines directly from carbs to the distributor if so equipped.
