Anyone know the yardage for vinyl/square feet in leather, to do the front and rear seats and bolsters in rear? I am now getting close to decision time; keep the orig blue, or change to red. I have both colors of door/rear panels. Car is Polaris. Either will look good; wife-to-be likes the dark lipstick color idea. Everything I hear says match the upholstery to the panels if possible. Any thoughts? Thanks, Dave V. in NC

Ah the old "she who must be obeyed" thing!
Whatever colour you decide to go for then IMHO you should try and match the door cards and other pieces of coloured trim to that of the seats.
For a perfect match of course you could recover the cards etc, the tricky one might be the carpet on the back shelf, but black would be acceptable.
A contrasting floor carpet is ok too

Of course I am in sort of the same situation and coming up to the crunch point where the exterior colour has to be decided. Mrs Malc's current choices are the Atlantic blue solid colour, same as Bluemax or the really dark grey metallic colour who's name I have forgotten. I have the Marine blue interior and no carpet so I have to get a reasonable "match" between the paint and the interior

Dave
I just completed my interior last year.
Not done to be the same as factory.
Get many leather samples from suppliers to make your decision.

I had door cards, console sides, all seats, arm rests and kicks done in a 3 tone black>dk grey>lt perforated grey motif.

You want what ever color you chose to be consistent throughout the car.

I took 20 years to be able to afford and pick this upgrade and am very pleased with the outcome.
Keep the group up to date on your choices, but it is a personal preference!

Color

DAve,

I think Polaris and Red look fantastic. Most Polaris coupes seem to have blue or black, red would really contrast. Just pick a grey or grey/black carpet, red would be too much. You already have the black dash, door tops and wood trim to break the colors up. Go for it!

Let Me Help You

If you decide against the red, I'll kindly take the panels and other red parts off your hands.

I currently have a blue interior.
