Well, SFDon once found US made high pressure hoses on my E24... there was no room for that in Don's book. He replaced them without even asking me.
 
I think what people fail to understand is how incredibly difficult it is to source a complete set of CSL Alpinas with matching dates. Unless they came off an original CSL, you are spending months or years hunting down random wheels. A handful of members have one wheel, maybe two. Very few parties are sitting on a matching set. As @eriknetherlands, @tferrer, @Keshav, and others know, there are several iterations of five hole alpinas.

taste is taste, subjective
what some fail to understand is that creating the new normal is biased
it's good to know what's original and what's not, tferrer noted that the 16" alpinas are NOT original (and it was not clear for everyone !!!), he was right,
16" alpinas might be the new "original" to the new normal together with M30B35 or a tesla powerplant...
there is no judgment to taste, if there is a corruption in the essential, it is good to know, and then deviate if one wishes and has a different taste
 
Not sure why I'm jumping in here, but I am. I don't think any of us, or anyone that is into old cars, would think that 16 inch wheels would be original to a 50 year old car. 16 inch wheels and 16 inch performance tires weren't available in the early 70s. I took Candia4441's comment exactly how he meant it. He has original Alpinas for sale. They are not reproductions, they are original honest to goodness Alpinas - which is a big deal.

Hello, you are right but it is my bad, when I said original I meant original ALPINA but this guy thinking original CSL ALPINA my wheel is 16X7.5 and 16X8.5 but original csl is 14X7 all around if I am not mistaking

But again I have a set of wheels that is belong to CSL bat mobile and will not work on normal E9 back is 12" wide and front is 9" wide that is hard to find.

I said it is my bad, I had to explain better but I didn't, I am not asking this 16" wheels are original for E9 I meant it is not fake it is original ALPINA, there is lots of wheels looks like ALPINA but it is not I am calling it fake, but what I have, it is real ALPINA, there is many company are making exactly the same and it is very nice but it not ALPINA, Do I have to explain more

the real thing here is that you can perfectly publish a new independent advert for your own wheels

this way people interested in 16" will find them better

nothing wrong, real alpinas, real 16"
