Dear BMW enthusiasts, does anyone know how to adjust the rear axle of a 1969 E9 before I have the car aligned? I am referring to the slotted holes at the rubber mounts and the rear axle. Best regards, Hans.

I believe there are no adjustments to the rear axle. This is why Ireland Engineering (https://www.iemotorsport.com/product-category/e9-e3-parts/e3-e9-suspension-steering/) and others sell kits to enable adjustments.

Garagistic Eccentrics
You have to weld on the the small brackets and then grind the original mounting holes to match the eccentric holes. But from there it's plug and play... same thing Ireland sells.
They sell these for the E30, but the same part fits the E9. I mounted mine with factory holes in the center of the slot, so I have a bit of positive or negative adjustment.
