I helped my friend bleed his rear drums on his 2800cs today. They felt great after individually bleeding each brake 5x, and for about 30 minutes, the wheels could spin easily. But then they started to lock up a bit. Should we continue to bleed them more, or is there a reason this is happening?

How much is "a bit"? I have had this happen with drum rear brakes before but never quite figured out the culprit. In my case, disassembly, cleaning and putting things back together carefully was sufficient. YMMV....

Usually this is attributed to the inside of your brake hoses swelling and plugging them up. It sorta creates a "check valve." in the line.

+1 Check the hoses.
Brake lines were replaced with brand new stainless steel lines. Brand new wheel cylinders as well. Any other ideas?

Car is on 4 jack stands. Front's spin freely. We replaced master cylinder as well, and new front brake lines too. Only the rear drums have resistance. Just strange that they felt great for a while and now they do not.
