Rear bumpers

I just had my 73' e9 rear bumper re-chromed and in the
process of installing it. My question is: I do not believe there was anything on the sides holding the bumper to the body.
I know there are 1 hole on each side that would allow a
screw to attach to the bumper though the trunk. Is there a spacer
that would fit between the bumper and body with the screw holding
the bumper to the fender?

rear bumper mount

I had to go in the garage and check my`73. They have rubber covered mounts just like the front bumper ends with two bolts, one into the bumper, one into the body. I think these are specific to the `73.
