So I managed to lose one of the four small o-rings that go between the two caliper halves and the rebuild kit didn't come with any. For some reason I thought it would but after opening up the box I realized I should've been more careful when taking the caliper apart.

It's #7 in the diagram although it's not listed below. Weird. Anyway, any ideas besides the typical auto parts store search? It's a flat o-ring but because of the housing design I think a round cross-section o-ring would work.

I am sure a few will turn up for you soon...

If you get in a bind you can make one from your old square cut caliper piston seal.
Or
You can buy o-ring making kits but make sure you have the right material for brakes.
You can test the rubber by soaking it in a brake fluid for awhile.

Just throwing this out there for future emergencies. Cheers

it is late now, but why did you took them a part ?
you should replace the four rings,
remember, these are EPDM, not NBR

Rebuilding the calipers. The right rear was sticking but after getting it apart it doesn't look very bad. I did a light hone to clean it up and replaced seals. We'll see..

ok, but they say, if no leak, no dismantle,...
How do you use a hone without splitting the halves? I didn't notice a leak, but with a caliper that binds you can't do much without splitting it. Anyway, doesn't look like a big deal, I ordered new half seals and it goes together fine.

plus you need to use new bolts and nuts, they are not reusable

why did you use a hone ?
tolerances are tight there, ....hummm i would say not recommend a hone there,...
I used it lightly to clean the cylinder. To be honest, it hardly did anything. I did notice that the step on the outside of the piston is almost non-existent now. I'm wondering if that's why it's binding.

Also, why are the bolts not re-usable? Do they stretch?
