Does anyone know whether any coupes were delivered with a "4 Speed" or similar rear deck badge, in script similar to the "Automatic" badges? If not, were any vintage BMWs delivered with similar badging?

I don't have the 3.0CSi badge on my car anymore (in part because it isn't accurate), but I think the trunk looks a little naked and would put a "5 Speed" or maybe "4 Speed" badge on the trunk if a period-correct version were available.

to my knowledge ... no bmw put such information on the car in the modern era ... from the 60's to present.

i know what you mean about the naked part. my car was originally a 2800cs w/ an auto. now its a 3.5 csi (by build) w/ a 5 speed. somebody on this forum made a 3.5csi badge by combining a 2.5 + 3.0 badge w/ a csi. i think it looks cool ... but its one of those things that never existed. so for now i'm badgeless too. can't decide if i should go back to 2800cs ... or move to the 3.5csi.

Ah, the left side is where the bumper stickers go.

For US delivery vehicles Mobile Traditions has the period correct bumper sticker choices of:

- Nixon/Agnew, President Nixon Now More than Ever.
- "Don't blame me – I'm from Massachusetts".

If you do a bare metal restoration you can always upgrade the sticker to:
"Change you can believe in"....

I was going to joke that I've actually done that but I thought it would be more correct to use Angela Merkel's campaign slogan. Then I remembered this, and decided I had better things to do with the internet. :)

bumper stickers

I rode my bike freshman year in college so I got to see alot of them up close and personal...I remember "Dont Change Dicks in the Middle of a Screw, Vote for Nixon in 72" and "Nixon was a Cox-sacker" .....a long, long time ago...

Here's one: "As long as there are tests there will be prayer in the public schools."

I have a 3.3 injected motor in my euro CS. I have no problem with the CSi badge on the trunk.

Here's one

Nice badge for 3.5
