I installed a LSD 3.07 diff in my e9. It was from a euro e-24.
The output shaft seals need to be replaced. On a scale of 1>10 how difficult is the repair? From the manual it seems straight forward, with no major tools required.

There is also a canister located on top of the diff that is piped from the top vent with a recapture line for fluid. Does the venting mechanism also need to be rebuilt. This, also, could be another source of leakage.

Not sure where leak is coming from, except is evident not from input seal.

Output seals are easy -- just remove the bolt in the center of each output flange, and you can pull the flange out and replace the seals.

It's worth cleaning the vent, it isn't unusual for them to be clogged, and that allows pressure to build up as the diff gets warm, exacerbating any leaks.

To be honest it's probably easier to take the diff out completely and work on it on the bench, kitchen table etc! Rear mount bolt and 8 (I think) bolts on the rear subframe

Be warned however some of the flange nuts can be awfully tight!

Just remember to mark the flange of the prop shaft and the flange of the diff input so you can put it back in the same place
