rear reflectors/ indicators on side fenders/ rear quarter

I recently purchased a 2800cs 1971 which has rear indicators/ reflectors on the sides.

Are these sopecific to 2800 cs or Uk model or any other reason - noticed many cars done have them ??

I take it given there are the indicators on the back anyway i can just loose them right?

Rear side lights were required for US delivered coupes but I don't think any other countries required them. Most remove them when repainting. What is you VIN? Also, please add your coupe to our Registry.

You're correct, side markers (front and back) where a US spec only. Also, our coupes used reflectors in the front (instead of lights) because the turn signal lens already housed the parking/position light.
