Rear Seat Restoration

Hi All - I am planning to re-cover the fabric portion of my rear seats. I have the correct material but I believe the original horse hair innards may be too far gone and once the seats are opened up, it may fall apart. What have you guys used as a suitable replacement to keep the original shape?

For the bottom of my front seats, the upholsterer carved new foam for replacing the old foam and horsehair (which was installed in 1974).
