I removed the rear shocks to put in new Bilsteins and now I can't get the shock onto the lower mounting bolt. I zip tied the shock to shorten it but the angle of the bolt keeps it from slipping on. I am afraid I will screw up the threads. I only jacked up one side of the coupe, do I need to raise both sides? I even used a small jack under the CV joint to see if that would help. I eagerly await everyone's advice!

Attach the shock to the trailing arm first, then jack up the arm and guide the top part of the shock into the mount.Be careful to block your wheels and not knock your car off the jack stands.Good luck jeff :D

That is what I am trying to do, attach to the lower arm first. I can't find an angle that doesn't interfere with the wheel well or spring. The shock keeps hitting the wheel well.
