rear view mirror part number

Anyone know the part number for the E9's rear view mirror? Shown on Walloth & Nesch catalogue as part #5 on diagram 51/13. I'm wondering if the coupe's mirror is interchangeable with a 635 (or any slightly later BMW's) mirror which I may have access to. Any information would be appreciated as I need to replace mine. TIA.

My 1972 E9 rear view mirror is identical to my 1985 M6 rear view mirror.

The mirror from an E12 will work and is a little larger, which I like. You won't notice that it's larger after a week with it; the better view out back is nice to have.

As a plus, E12 mirror oughta be dirt cheap - if you can find one. I haven't seen one around here in a dog's years. They were nice cars, in their day; good for donor Getrag 265 5 speed transmissions.
