Hi All
This may have been answered in some other thread, but if it has i am unable to find it!!
I am refitting the windows in my 73 csi, With the knowledge gained from this forum the back window went in a dream, two people 30 minutes, done! looking forward to fitting the front windscreen, next comes the trim to be fitted in the rubber slot.. 2 hours later two top corners refuse to go in, i grease, i spray,i bang, i pray, but still it refuses to oblige, can any of you tell me what am i doing wrong., any help would be much appreciated..

The installation sequence, per the blue book, is:
1.) Install rubber seal on window
2.) Install trim into rubber seal
3.) Install assembled Window/seal/trim into opening.

I found it impossible to install the trim after the window is installed (just as the blue book said).
There is another thread on this subject.....

Hi Dave

Does this mean i need to take the window back out and start over again?

It's not stated whether you are installing the original window - or if it's implied, I may have missed it.

Paraphrasing Carl Nelson, once the windshield is removed these cars can flex "a bit". Double removal (back also) could allow "a bit" more.

There has been recent discussion that some replacement glass does not match the length and/or width of original glass.

Lord help us all!
