Rear window felt

Has anyone figured out good substitute for the rear window exterior felt. I'm racking my brain trying to come up with something. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Dean

I had some success making a custom felt using the 'U' channel felt piece that fit in the window channel. Pry the U channel open so it is flat, then cut off the felt part on one side and what remains is something fairly close to what you need. Punching holes in the piece and riveting the piece in place are bit tricky.

I replaced mine about two years ago with new ones from Carl but they were not cheep; about $75.00 ea as I recall.
