I recently came across a very nice, 1975 E3 3.3Li. Very well done. In the rear window, there was a set of "sun shades/blinds" or whatever the term is to describe them, but I have attached a photo. Anyone ever seen these on another car? Was this ever an option on E9?

I believe aftermarket.
Something similar was discussed about two years ago

It wasn't a option, but it was common in the 70th to install those shades.

Therefore, the install shows a wide range of handcraft skills. ,-)

Horrible in my eyes, but who like it.....

Right, "handcrafted", I get that. Was just wondering how to minimize some of the "greenhouse effect" in the E9 rear window. I have thought about tinting that back glass. Then I recall the 1991 Alfa Romeo 164L I had, came with 2 rear screens that you could pull up and attach at the top of the window. I attach a photo here and you can probably just make out the image of the 2 screens in the back. Just curious if anyone has tried this in their Coupe.

Thanks. But I am amazed they charge over $700. At least there is free shipping, so there is that.;)
Yep, shady business...

Anyway, I have it in my E24 and seldom use it.
You know, when you are moving forward you get much less rain in the rear windshield than the front? Likewise I assume I get much less sun through the rear window...
