Well 3 weeks before Monterey and my rear right window stopped at the half way point.

Using deQuinicy great write up I got the window out and apart and this is what I found. The rubber between the window motor and the gear housing is split into two. There are 4 bolts the hold the Sardine can motor in place 1 bolt was missing so someone was in there is the past.
The rubber looks like it was glued in.

I have this motor but it has a different end piece.

So guys what are my options?

Any help is welcome

Barry

I would think Carl N or Coupeking or Double 02 Salvage would have a replacement rubber piece for you.

Call Double 02 and see if they have it. I drive up to Fairfield two days a week and pass Double 02 to get there. If they have it, I'll pick it up for you and we can meet in Fairfield. Less of a drive for you that way.

Christ alive they want $100 for that?!

those nylon runners look as bad as they did in my car. Took a good amount of time to clean all of the old **** out of them.

When you call them see if they have the rubber stoppers that set the travel limit. Two of mine were destroyed, and as a result my windows sometimes stick in the up or down position. New rubber stoppers would fix that. Hopefully I can grab those while I get your parts.

I drive to Fairfield Wednesday and Thursday.

DeQuincey I have one question about your write up...

When you made the small black round bushing, Did you just use that piece our did you use another bushing inside your bushing?
I put mine back together and the window moves around a bit.

In the link above the #6 is the bushing. it seams like it should be a lot tighter fit.

Just trying to get it right.

PS #3 Bump stops are still on hand
