Both my rear window switches appear to be not working properly ( these are the ones with 3 pins).
I say that as all 4 windows work fine using the consul switches, so I'm assuming it's not the wiring.

Have pulled both of them out and taken the metal clips off the side but they don't seem to want to come apart - I'm assuming they do.

If not where do we source new three pin switches, or can you use the 4 pin ones?

having both switches out at the same time seems quite odd. i think it is likely a wiring issue at the console switches. either a wire reversed to the wrong pins or a wire not connected. so check that you have all of the wires at those switches are in the right place. after that, check the connector block at the rear windows - you should have 2 wires from the rear switch join up with 2 wires from the console switch into the block from one side then continue on to the motor.

Wouldn't be surprised if the answer to your problem is something easily overlooked. Could be disconnected or ill-fitting wiring, it could also be remnants of 40-year old hand lotion impeding electrical connections. Often times it might easier to remove the switch and examine it for corrosion, broken components or foreign matter and douse it with electrical contact cleaner. fairly easy to test the swich for continuity with an ohmmeter. Plenty of prior discussion on this subject in this forum, e.g., https://e9coupe.com/forum/threads/electric-window-stopped-working.10255/

Your last comment suggests you have the newer, round pin-type switches available. They can be adapted to work with common connectors. Not the most elegant solution, but a fix nonetheless.

My rear window switches had no power when I bought Athena, so I did the trial and error method of changing wires until they worked. Rears are basically a 3-way circuit.
