i have a line on a somewhat recently rebuilt bavaria engine. is this a plug and play swap for a 74 CSA? any flywheel, mounting issues?

Should be
Only problems might come it one uses a manual gearbox and the other automatic.
Assuming that your CS is automatic and the Bav manual then you will have to swap flywheels, torque converter etc other wise as far as I am aware the components are the same.....

re;bavaria engine

I have this swap in my cs.
ex wife 25 years ago seized the cs motor, in school and poor. So bought a ratty looking bavaria that had a recent rebuild. Used the Bavaria for 1 year. Good car, just in sad state of repair body wise.
1 day exchange, with help.
You have to pull 2 to put back in 1. But after you're done with the first the second goes quick.
It was the first time I had ever worked on a BMW.

Engine Swap

I am currently planning a winter project in which I will be swapping out my originial engine for a Euro 3.5 engine and auto transmission to a c/r Getrag. Good to know that others will also be doing the same this winter. Right now I am trying to get estimates for doing a basic swap of these parts.
