My E9 restoration is progressing, slowly but surely. I am looking for sources for two things I know I will need, door skins and a front windshield. Being in Honolulu, shipping is an issue. Any recommendations?

You can follow my (glacial) progress at The E9 Eating Rust Project, http://e9erust.blogspot.com/

Gary-

Critics might question whether you've assessed the amount of work and cost required in the real problem areas ie rockers, front/rear fender wheel wells and beyond. These areas will require more than patches, fiberglass and bondo. It looks like you don't have much $$ into your passion right now, but addressing the structural areas correctly will add up very quickly. Unless these areas are in good condition, many have scrapped e9's in better shape than this.

Trying to save you time, $$$$ and disappointment.

Hope you can prove me wrong. Best of luck!!!

Gary,

I picked up both my door skins and windshield from W&N in Germany. Shipping tends to be expensive from them, so getting a large order together makes it more worthwhile.

You may also check with La Jolla or Coupe King for their used parts. Coupe King has a HUGE selection of stuff. If your door skins are in bad shape, then the edges/bottom of the door frame may need a lot of repair also - might consider a complete used door (probably simpler and cheaper).

There was a poster here on the forum that is supplying new windshields. Do a search. I cannot speak to the fit and quality.
