I've been meaning to ask for any recommendations on people for any mechanical assistance around these areas. Sort of like the old BMW Motorcycle travel help book listed. I'll be taking mine/showing at Keeneland Concours (Lexngton) Ky this weekend and then at the Concours of America -St John's the last weekend this month. Both Routes starting from Columbus, OH. Just makes sense to have some contacts along the way.

The CS Registry used to publish a guide that listed members who knew BMW mechanics, had some level of mechanical ability, were willing provide shelter for the coupe and its driver, etc. Surely now outdated by decades but perhaps e9coupe could come up with something like that. Dang, are you reading this. Steve

Highly desirable. Ive done a few multi mile and cross country trips N-S and E-W, trouble free. But, never a gurantee, plus nice to know of possible sources of road trip talks and refresh. John
