hi got a csi have had a red light come on dash on the rev counter anybody know what this is for as i have no handbook thanks manj
 
Also, it may mean that you have a parking brake switch that needs adjusting or a defective switch.

What year is your euro csi 72?? RHD or LHD?

You do mean rev's=tachometer which typically has the Parking Brake indicator a brn/blu wire to the switch. What color is the wire (not the brown one) on the back of the light (also not the black for the Tach or gray/blue for instrument lights)? Is there a letter in the red light such that when illuminated you see i.e.: P?

i fully agree with the previous responses, about a red light with the letter P in the middle that is located in the bottom position of the rpm instrument, it has two functions:

- parking brake on, released
- low fluid brake level (you must have a reservoir with electrical contacts for that)

remark: it will be VERY helpful when anyone posts a question, to include a photo or detail of the affected area or part, it is quite easy to post photos and it will be no misunderstanding:-D
