If one wanted a valve cover that looked just like a new one, how would you get that finish?
I have access to a bead blaster, but I do not think it would look like the one seen in Paul Caine's 2002. Suggestions appreciated.

Clicked on the Avro link and read through it all. I just wanted to say the work you do is really awesome and I would love to see the plane one day.

I did not find a paypal anywhere though? Would be happy to throw a few bucks your way.

Back to the subject of how to on valve covers

it's been my experience with all early BMW's that I have worked on including the '02, Bavaria and Coupes that a light bead blast with glass beads as your media works very well and gives cast aluminum that freshly cast look--very original--but probably nicer appearance wise than when new.
