Removing push nut in sun visor pivot

Gang, any recommendations on removing the push nut such that it can be re-used? What tool(s) have you used etc?

Some time ago i used pliers (close shape as below) - with right & left moves with little pressure from the bottom (it will be something like nut unscrewing). Be careful in the end because you can easily smash the nut when it will be out of pivot.

Many thanks. I used a combination of something that looks like a dental pick and these pliers in order to get the push nut out.

I then used channel lock pliers to compress the spring and get the push nut back in.
