Renewing CSI fuel pump - Help please!

Hey all,

Th fuel pump has failed on my 1973 CSI and I haven't a clue which one to buy and how I replace it. Is it in the tank or outside which i'm told makes it easier to change.

Any help much appreciated, was there ever a how 2 guide published for this?

Don't know about the source for a pump- check the usual parts guys or change to a different pump. Depends on how original you want to keep it.

CSi fuel pump

Of note...I had a problem with my own. To test I used a booster pack as a power source and the pump ran fine. I ended up running a dedicated ground wire from the battery through the car to the pump ground point at the ECU under the right rear seat. No problem since...go figure, falls under the term "O.F.C." as in "old effing car" I would try what I did prior to replacing the pump.
