Hi there. I wonder if anyone can help. I need to replace the brake master cylinder on my 1973 RHD 3.0 CSA. I purchased a replacement on eBay but it does not fit, as the end is too big to fit to the bulkhead. The listing stated that it would fit my car and the part number was specified as 34311120832. I've attached some photos of the one which was taken out of my car and you can see the damage where it attaches to the bulkhead. The outlets are on the same side and I can't see any replacements that match mine. The bore diameter seems to be 23.81mm. In one of the photos I've also shown the one I purchased on eBay along side the original. Any advice on where I could buy a new one that would fit would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

Thanks for the reply. That’ll explain it. The listing said it fitted a RHD coupe so it looks like they made a mistake in the listing. A brake master cylinder for RHD E9 seems a lot harder to find then!

I wouldn't say so:

The NOS one I'm not willing to give away, at least not for now.
If you are interested in the other one let me know. I could get it refurbished first.

Well, curiosity let me open it right way20251028_211015.jpgLooks good! Also the inner wall of the cylinder looks perfect, only some rust in the bottom part where the big spring is located.
Let me check tomorrow if the sealings are available, but hopefully not this set covering all parts
