Hi I have a big gaping hole in the passenger fender of my Bavaria where some sort of antenna used to be. I wanted a simple, manual , metal replacement antenna. Any ideas as to where to buy such a thing? Thanks.

Over here, these things are still available at just about any auto parts store.

But the real reason for posting: Good to see you found some kidneys. The bav is taking shape nicely....

This is actually an old Kidney I am using

The problem with the original kidney was that the posts or bolts broke off the back while I was removing it prior to paint. I sourced a beat up one that the bolts had also broken on but were drilled out. So, I cleaned that one up with some Simicrome, and affixed it to the body using wire! Nice jury rig....

Neal,

I replaced the original non-telescoping antenna on my coupe with a Hirschmann. Have you considered trying them out?

harharhar...

we don't do 4-doors on this list.

J/K!

Any old parts store will have antennae (plural) that will do just what you want, and look pretty dang close to original. Or better.

Radio antenna for an E-3

Neal--just visit your local Pep Boys--solution for my E-3 BVCREME--works fine, price was right--and its a decent holder for the fox tail!!
