I completely forgot about e9-driven. These links help so thank you very much. Odds are Im still going to screw this up. Do you clean and re-pack the bearings each time ?

Do you clean and re-pack the bearings each time?

Not necessarily.

Depends upon the reason for exposing the bearings in the first place. Recently repacked bearings would not need re-cleaning and repacking with new grease unless the area was contaminated, over-heated, or the bearing/race assembly was defective or the seal compromised.

Chances are that a garage queen could go well beyond suggested maintenance schedule. But for most cars that regularly roll on sun-drenched pavement and are exposed to "normal" use (whatever that is) it is always good practice to clean and repack bearings using the recommended service interval of every 40,000 miles. Severe, high mileage or "abnormal" use might benefit from far more frequent cleaning and repacking. Hth
