I need to replace the rubber on the front bumper of a 2800cs. Parts found. Looks fairly straight forward. Should I expect any surprises? It looks like if I loosen the nut on the saucer head screw mounting bolt, the bumper over-rider will loosen enough to pull the rubber from under it. Do I need to remove the bumper entirely to remove the grommet at the back of the bumper? Appreciate any advice.

there re no grommets
usually no need to loose the overrider mounting bolt
no need to remove any other nut or bolt neither
only pull the rubber itself from the center and you will get one or the other end, and then you can easily get all of it
probably your repair job will not end there, and you will need to replace the corroded support plate, if so, you must use a drill bit to remove old rivets , then the plates, put new plates with new rivets
to install the rubber a nice tip is:
- if you bend the rubber in the opposite direction of its normal position, the channel will open and you will be able to embrace the plate easily

hope it helps
