He said “it's potentially a very nice thing but will need a fair bit of mechanical work”

I’ve never seen those pin hole tar pads on the front strut tops before. Aftermarket sunroof?

I guessing when they restored it in the late 89s they used incorrect sound deadening. Maybe you couldn’t get correct pads then?

Apparently it sold for £43,000. Not sure if that included buyers premium though.

That is a very good price in this depressed classic car market. I think that is also plus buyers premium, so over £50k

....IMO the range quoted was tantamount to" bait" advertising ....was always going to sell well in excess of that
