RHD Brake master cylinder removal

Hi guys, i need to refurb my RHD brake system completely as the car has been sat and theres no fluid in the system. Theres plenty of info on here so i have a good idea on the system and all the parts and lines. First step is to remove the brake master cylinder. Is that held in place by two bolts in the engine bay, and connects to the pedal? Kinda hard to see as it goes through the firewall.

I just removed mine last week and took that photo: 20230923_173756.jpg
First remove the bolt at the brake pedal, then the two other bolts. That's all!

Im now intrigued where you sourced the new master cylinder from? Mine is completely seized.
 
To be honest, I bought it by mistake some time ago not knowing that I would need it some day! I even tried to sell it.
I will try now to find a new one for you!

I can recommend Power Brakes in Adelaide, check their website. They have rebuilt 3 sets of boosters for me and do excellent work with an amazing stock of hard to find parts. They can re-sleeve your master cylinder.
 
Thanks Ian. I think the whole system needs an overhaul so will likely send brake boosters & and the rear hydraulic also while I'm at it. I'll reach out to them.
 
Master cylinder and boosters are candidates for reconditioning, no other way usually You may find new callipers from w&n are comparable in cost to rebuilding depending on condition

mja351 posted back in April that he used a Toyota Cressida MX73 master cylinder on his RHD E3

Missed that post, nice solution, about 1/2 the price of a re-sleeve. There is a PBR booster which can replace the ATE on our cars, but a bit of engineering to mount them I think. 2002 guys were looking at them as seals for the ATE were nla. Decided not to pursue that when I found Power Brakes could rebuild
