Getting the yellow csl ready for a trip to the champagne region. She is going to have to carry a lot of bubbly back. Been out in the garage fixing all those things that have been on the to do list for ages. Amazing how a trip or event spurs you on to do these things!

Checked all the fluids, it appears i have an engine oil leak at the back which is doing agreat job of coating the underneath in oil and rust proofing it!

I picked up my CSL in Reims in May - its a nice drive with plenty of excellent diversions along country roads among the vines. I got stopped by the local cops for speeding and not having a front plate, but between liking my car and not wanting to deal with my poor french, they let me go :)
 
Bourgeoisie! You two CSL owners chatting about driving to Chapagne... drinking champagne reminds me why the working class French had their little revolution!!!

Meanwhile... I may drive my cs bucket.... down to Daly City to buy some Coors light...

Just kidding sounds like fun... enjoy your sparking grape juice :wink:

Tyler, was it living over there then? Any photos of her? We will have to have a london csl meet soon when the rain gives way.

Ended up not taking the csl due to the weather and instead a mates 1973 daimler coupe. It did us proud despite a lack of preparation and onlyu waking from 21 years of storage a few months ago!

Its a french delivery car, that lived there her whole life. I don't have any pics (mostly due to the recent rain), but there are a few pics in the latest "value of the coupe" thread.

I'm up for any London get-together, and planning on some outdoor wrenching this coming weekend if the rain lets up. I'm in NW3 - Primrose Hill. Myself and a few others are heading down to Goodwood for the German car "breakfast club" early morning, August 5th. I'm hoping for 4-5 CSLs plus a number of CS/CSi's to represent us among all the 911s! Care to join in the fun?

The csl looks absolutely stunning. I'm like Yannick in so far as when i had my csl painted - golf yellow- i couldn't stand inka but now I adore it and one day hope to have an inka and a taiga one!

On the value subject, its worth what you paid in my mind. These cars are hard to come by in that condition and generally the people who own them don't part with them easily.

CSLs, in my opinion, are stunning in Golf or Inka. Fjord is good for a "normal" color, but, much like Tyler, I paid the price I was willing to pay -- everyone else be damned -- largely based on the color. I went with Golf because I had the Inka touring already....
