So I settled on using #11 O-rings behind each plastic clip to attach the rubber/chrome trim to the rocker panel cover. Probably #10 would be even better but I had been doing trial and error and now have more butyl O-rings than I need. My question is that at the end of each cover, there is a hole for a screw and a cm or so next to each of these, is another hole that can fit a plastic clip. Thus, 8 holes that a clip can fit into, 2 holes that take 4 or 3.5mm screws. Clips are sold in packs of 12 so the initial attachment was 6 clips and 2 screws. What have people used for the screws on the ends of each piece of trim? Design is similar to belt trim molding screws but I cannot find a Part #. Tried to fabricate an alternative but no go. I am close to punting and buying 4 more plastic clips.
