rubber seal installation location

can someone describe to me the installation of 51 71 1 810 529. the pic on parts diagram is a little vague. thanks

I think it is the one that mounts under the rear hood seal near the A pillar, one on each side. It fills the opening where the hood opening turns from under the windshield to along the fender itself. It is missing from most coupes, don't know why, it used to cost about $20 each so price has really gone up. It's only about 8" long.

That's the one. I only put them in for road trips, when driving in good weather I leave them off to allow air to flow through there.
