Rust proofing - krown

Has anyone used krown or ziebart before? Couldnt find any threads in the archives.
One of my colleagues buys e30s and has had several from ontario where is snows heavy. He said the ones without krown rusted, the ones without had no problems. Would be curious to know if it works on an e9?

Ziebart rust proofing

I've had experience with a couple of cars that were Ziebarted in the 70s. The amount of protection depended to a great deal on the installer. The product was tar-like and very messy to remove. Installation required drilling holes to get access to body cavities, like inside the rocker panels.

I think there are better products available today and I believe that the Ziebart company went out of business years ago.
