Took a couple of photos of this cool E-9 on Sunday. Member car? S54 powered. CSL badge.

Yes it's a member's car. He will probably respond. Looked like a nice gathering. That is an interesting choice of color on the M1. Never seen that or the wheels before, or if I have I don't recall seeing those. What was the story on that?

The wheels on the M1 looked like covers similar to the turbine wheels on the E34 M5. License plate said Procar, I assume maybe a performance shop.

The e9 was at Legends this summer too. Built by Castro Motorsports. Stein is the owner's name. Neat build.

I think the M1 is the same one I saw at Laguna Seca Historics in August, in the Canepa display.

Has bits from the M1 Procars, which were spec racers built for a series circa 1980. They were the undercard at F1 races.

Sometimes you witness something that really makes you stop and think what truly matters in life and it is not always about the material things, in fact it's never about the material things. At the show a gentlemen who owned a beautiful condition Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale offered for my older son to sit in the car and take a photo as my son loved the car. My little one, almost three years old of course has to do everything his older brother does and wanted to sit in also. I initially said no as I did not want him to damage the car in any way, the owner insisted he also gets in the car and when my son almost stepped on the seat with his dirty shoes I jumped to stop him and he said "Don't worry, it's just a car, let him sit and put his feet up on the chair and enjoy, I don't mind". What a class act and a true gentleman.

The M1 is the only road legal factory Procar. Excellent restoration by Canepa. I've been watching it come together at the last few Cars and Coffees there.

Ah yes... I thought I had seen this one on Stanceworks. Looks like a very clean installation. Here goes the temptation again to go with that beautiful S54 engine *drool*.

That being said, I took my donor E24 Callaway out for a spin with some friends over the weekend and definitely feel that a turbo M30/M90 will be more than a enough power (the M30/M90 decision is still ongoing).

It would be great to hear from the owner if he is on here as I would be curious to hear how the chassis takes all that power and how he addressed gearbox selection, prop shaft, diff and the rest of the drive-train for that matter.
