sandy car graveyard - no sign of BMWs

I visited a friend's grandfather's ranch in the high desert on the way home from Vegas yesterday and learned of the landowner's plan in the 70s to stop the nearby river overflowing. He allowed the local scrapyard to dump there cars there, between 20 and 40 of them, and sure enough, the cars, like a sunken ship can create a reef, eventually filled the gully. Sand and brush have nearly totally covered up the cars, but I thought it was a pretty spectacular scene. I think I see a Falcon and the roof of what could maybe be a 450SL? Any other ideas? I thought it was an interesting sight worthy of sharing:
