Fishing trip!!

My past experiences with these emails is that they are never sure what part you want to buy and you never get photos and they ask you for your contact info that they then use to scam some one else.

I will ask him for Aluminum doors and lids lets see how this plays out...

Ask if he can source a fully reconfigured flux capacitor from a late production Deloren. Curious what his response will be.

i got one from a guy trying to sell me a car from england - pretty e9, baikal blue ... great price $12,150 ... wanted my full address and a western union / wire transfer. sounded too good to be true, BS alarm was going off. i asked for the vin number + i got a 17 digit number. responded - wrong answer, don't contact me again.

dont list you email in the forum post.

you are probably getting spamed because ive seen you list your email address in the forum posting - not a good idea. there are phishing searches that look for this and once they have it, your screwed. better to pm someone your email or if you have to iclude in fourm do something like john at msn dot com.

Forum Not safe

I was conned last year responding to a post about aluminium boot and doors for sale, I emailed the seller through the forum from a PM but this was intercepted by Mr bogus who knew what I was after, had my name and knew roughly about the parts for sale. He explained that hew would scrap the parts as he was leaving the lock up he had, I made a silly offer and he accepted - I paid via wire transfer and gave him my delivery details - that was last of it, no parts and no money. I did catch up with him via the bank and the UK police and he was using other vulnerable peoples bank accounts and had conned about 50 others this way, very smart person, but a heroin addict. He was imprisoned for 4 years, never got my money back though. Be warned that this forum is leaky and private messages and emails are not so private

con

Forgot to mention that the bloke selling the parts in Scotland was innocent, and he knew the value of aluminium doors, bonnet etc...

Bummer.
I hear there are security cameras every 5 meters in the UK. If so, can't they catch these scammers as they type the scam on their computers? By the time they hit enter they should hear the policeman's whistle.
