Here is an ad for some seats --- not mine, etc. etc.

Here is my question: with the exception of the headrests that are obviously specific for the contours of the 914 interior, are these the same as for CSLs? Is the shape of the bucket identical? If so, this would seem to be a nice way to get some "CSL" seats into a coupe.

They appear to be sold. I'd love a pair of those in Blue. They certainly look the same to me other than the headrest, but I am not familiar with the various permutations of Scheel seats. Just wondering (CSL owners) can you get a passenger in the back seat when you have these in place?

Hi Bob,
I didn't think they'd last long at that price (for example, ~1/10 what someone on eBay is asking for a similar set).
There are tilting bases for the sliders, so the whole seat tilts forward for rearseat access. Since they're hard to find and even harder to afford, Gerrit has reproduction ones available on his site (NML Depot)

Mako, that tilt feature puts them back in the running for my want list. I think I might go for the reproduction ones from GTS in a Blue leather/cloth combo if I get the guts to fully go through with it. Since the car is in dry dock I suppose waiting on seating makes the most sense. Good luck if you are after some.
