Scheel Seats for sale..

Nice seats but not CSL seats.
nope - but I dont have a set of CSL seats. I have everything else but not the seats - and I dont hold out a lot of hope of finding some... As I say, at this stage I am looking at putting a standard black leather interior in it (which to be honest will be far more usable on a day to day basis although I know it will be detrimental to the value - but I dont really care about that). My question is - would these seats (and the rears retrimed as original) be 'preferable' in a CSL to the standard E9 leather interior done well? I am just looking that the options that I have as the restoration is going ahead and the seats are an issue to resolve. I think I have pretty much discounted putting the GTClassic scheel replicas in - they are not the real seats although they 'look' about right but they are not right so why pretend?

Too expensive IMO. You can buy new Scheels for that price. For used seats check with Ovide on the mye28.com. He had multiple sets of Scheel 400’s last summer. Many folks on here have met him personally and purchase parts from him annually. I’m pretty sure he is based in the Netherlands.

Thanks, I will have a look. I didnt actually think the price was too bad given that they are 100% rebuilt and retrimmed in the correct fabric etc - shipping is cheap and the seller will take an offer. If they were the right model I would have bitten his hand off - but they arent, hence the canvasing of opinion, I quite like the look of them. To be honest, I also really like the standard vertical strip CS seat - i have a pair from the CSA that I could redo in leather and they would look awesome and be very practical (not sure I need to be heaving myself in and out of buckets!) they arent CSL 'correct' but I dont really care, its my car, I want to own and drive it - there are plenty of correct CSLs out there so in my mind it is not a huge deal to put whatever is available/practical/looks good in it, i am not robbing the world of anything so long as the rest of the car is done right. If the next owner of 2285467 wants to put scheel 100 replicas in it (or hold out for some real ones) - no problem. I am just working with what I have and what is available but I am not a big fan of reproductions of anything unless they are very very good.
