Schrick 284 TDC Mark

I can't seem to find the TDC mark on the Schrick 284 cam in our new 3.5L. With both valves closed on #1 cylinder, there is this very slight indentation on the front of the cam in the location you would normally see an inscribed mark. Is there a different place there would be a TDC mark?

mount the flange-it’s keyed to the cam
use a 25mm bolt threaded through the top flange bolt hole
center the bolt on the flat surface of the front of the head.

Or..

use a dial indicator…
