Seal on wiper mechanism?

Is there some type of seal under the nut and spacer that holds the wiper mechanism in place? Cannot see anything on real oem.

There is an aluminum spacer, a chrome washer with a shoulder on it, and a chrome jam nut.

Thats just what I have, not very water tight is it.
