I have spaghetti strap seat belts in the CSL (you know, non-retracting ones that sling over the shoulder and around the waist like 1950 and 60s era sports cars). I want to put the proper BMW ones. So, I ordered them yeara ago from a vender that, well, since then I have found to less than a stellar reputation.

Yesterday I tried to put them in and once I bolted them up, the rear seat piece would not fit over the belt reel and back on. They also look very much like the ones in the touring.

So, I look on realoem and the picture there of e9 belts is much differenet than the pic of the 2002 belts and mine look like the 2002 type.

Before I order another set of new belts, am I missing something or are they different belts? Does anyone have a pic of the belt reel under the back seat? Thoughts?

Thanks for the quick post.

Ok, the belt reel looks the same as the one I have, but the other end is definitely different.

EDIT:So, I think I was bolting in the reel to the worng spot behind the rear seat. I was trying at the shoulder-height hole. I tried at the waist-height hole and it works fine.

Now here's the problem: the rear seat belt now does not bolt in. That may because it is an aftermarket seat belt and not the BMW rear belts. So, here's my question: how does the rear seat belt bolt on? Do the two (front and rear) bolt to the same hole?
