My CSi is about to be painted. I will post up some pics of the extensive resto in the projects section soon. I am now at the stage where i need to get the wood refurbed and buy a seat upholstery kit plus door cards as the car is being painted Taiga and the blue interior wont match. I cant find any recent posts regarding experiences with seat upholstery suppliers. I dont think I want to go with laether due to the temperatures over here in Australia so can someone recommend a supplier of material based seat kits(similar to the CSL style) and what are my options or should i just go with leather

Door cards brand new from @KastelikClassicCar. They also offer the trunk wheel arch covers...
Scheel material and best info regarding combination of cloth and vinyl (back side of the front seats for example) info from @Gerrit / email for direct contact: [email protected] Standard seats in Scheel cloth will surely look nice....... don’t recall seeing that combination as yet
Leather seat kits and carpets available form a number of vendors, US and Europe.

I like the leather but as the car doesnt have air con I think it will get too sweaty driving around in the summer months. I didnt realise scheel type material hadnt been used regularly in retrimming standard seats but its a thought I had as i think it would go well with the green. I will send @Gerrit a message

Will go well with green....my car has Scheel seats but you’ll get the idea.....

Gerrit is the Scheel expert and will be able to advise on how much cloth and vinyl etc (like Scheel emblems for the seats). If you go that route you might want to do an exact copy of the rear Scheel seats, different padding

If you need to retrim dash etc, Matt at Classic & European in Victoria supplies a very good quality black BMW vinyl . He's good to deal with and happy to send you samples of whatever you're after.

Thats good to know I will look him up

If things are intact, why not use SEM on the door cards and recolor your seats. BTW: BMW did bring back the corduroy used to make the Euro seats.

They make lots of things but make a great vinyl paint that I have no doubt, everyone on this forum who has used it, is impressed with it. I had some made up to match the original black vinyl in my E9, color and patina. Recoloring seats, most use Leatherique, I have used Leatherworld and been happy with it.

BTW: stay safe.
