Hi Guys,
Ive listed my 73 Malaga Euro CS 4 speed for sale on Ebay again not the auto car.
I had it on Ebay a week ago and somebody was a dead beat buyer met my reserve then failed. I listed it on BAT last week as some here may know and
later pulled it for a couple of reasons I'd like to explain. When I signed up for the auction I told them I had some serious time constraints traveling- leaving the state for summer etc, they said they could do my dates, then turned around and said it would be following week which wouldn't work for me, I was going to cancel then they miraculously made it work.? The other thing was when they picked a picture from my photo bucket 100 of pics , the picture they picked was from previous owners photo of the car in the snow.. yes the snow, they then ran it and after continual e-mails from me finally pulled the picture and put a much better one.. but still snow.. linking my car from the beginning of the auction with corrosion etc.. not good thinking there. And finally after reading countless comments about E3's being better than e9s cars and how fast such and such model is against an E9 I got sick of it and decided I was here to sell and deal with serious buyers and not just hear people complain about the inequalities of various models of BMW's, so maybe I reacted quick but I re-sisted it on eBay where it is now. Many on the BAT site are maligning me and maybe I made a mistake ,but I felt like from the beginning to the end the auction for me was a comedy of errors.
That said the car is on eBay a nice clean California in origin coupe. Happy to answer any questions with honest answers. Thanks for letting me tell my story and if anyone is interested its here..

Italian delivery! Yes there is a Copertino in Italy but there is no California in Italy. And doesn't it snow in Italy!

Just kidding, nice car, good luck on ebay!

I was wondering about that and why you pulled it. I have had a few difficult conversations with Randy and can understand your point of view.

Your car is beautiful - good luck with the sale.

I get my wake up call from BAT each morning and have followed your car. I have too sold a car on BAT and the process for a selling a car is very well articulated in writing. I clearly understand their position and pulling the car from the site. It goes to credibility and then people question how fairly represented the car has been. I actually was seriously looking at you car too but did not bid because I didn't want a problem part the way across the country even if the car checked out with a quality PPI.
Sorry

Still on Craigslist in St. Louis: http://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/5067355439.html. I spoke with the seller a couple of weeks ago as I am local and was interested in seeing the car. He gave me the most polite of brush-offs saying that he wanted to see how his eBay listing (the first of three) went, which seemed reasonable. Then a second eBay listing. Then BAT and a third eBay listing. I noticed on the eBay auctions that an aggressive bidder driving the price up in at least two of the listings had also done a lot of recent bidding on Alfas. The seller posted on this forum a couple of months ago or so seeking to trade his coupe for an Alfa. And when I spoke to him during the first eBay listing he said he was unloading the coupe in order to buy an Alfa. Perhaps mere coincidence but it did make me wonder what exactly was going on there.

too many flags... you can decide what color they are
