Hi guys

I just bought an e9 and I was curious about who I should talk to about servicing the car

I live in SF so the Bay Area is preferred

Thank you

Pete

Second the motion

Don is great and in Alameda as Chris says. He knows everything about our cars and specializes in the engine and chassis. He's worked on my car since about 2008 and got me into a high compression 635 engine with, most recently, Megasquirt.

He is a busy guy but will always take a call or pm.

Thank

I bought the 1973 in. Hawaii I'll post it to the register soon

Two questions

I have the original bumpers but they need to be re-chromed

Are the 1973 bumpers the same as euro bumpers?

Does anyone have contact details for don?

Thanks

Pete

Sweet Jesus, I hope you didn't get the car from M*rl*y, that rustbucket. 'Scuse me Mr. M if you're online, it was my impression that you were not a member.

I checked his car out for another member and recommended against it due to EXTENSIVE rust. All his cars seem to be that way. Curious thing is that I connected the previous previous seller (she had TWO) to the previous owner many years ago. Nice to know that the car which was then very attractive (I did not see under the hood back then) did not become mine. I had a very very rusty (as in gaping holes) 2800Cs once...

It didn't help that M wanted me to suppose that the needed rust repair could be done for about $1500. Can't hardly find a shop around here that will have anything to do with rust, they all want insurance work and panel replacement. On this board that seems not the thing to do.
