Sheet Metal Gauge

Anyone know the thickness of the fender sheet metal just aft of the front wheels? Also, the top of the fender (actually under the hood) that forms the horizontal channel, and continues inboard until meetind the inner fender.....This seems thicker, although it may be double or triple thickness from inner and outer fender edges meeting. Not in front of my computer to search archives...At a store selling CHEAP pieces of cold-roll steel in various gauges..

I found most panels to be 1 mm. Or US equivalent 19 gauge (if there were such a size). I found 18 gauge a bit thick and 20 gauge a bit thin. I found some 1 mm from the UK that worked nicely.
