I asked years ago, never really figured out what these were. Coloring would indicate Bilsteins but no identifyable markings. They were the rear shocks on my Euro before I switched to standard Billies. Anyone have an idea of what these "upside down" shocks are. Special?, Bilstein or other? Thanks.

The Alpina Bilsteins were upside down like this one.
I was thinking also that they are Bilstein and made for Alpina. I sent an image to Bilstein and they could not tell me but on the other hand, anyone there who knows what they are, is retired. No markings but there is a place where there was a sticker which is about the size of the Bilstein sticker. Now Why would my 73 Euro have these on it?
These were the shocks used in all E9's sent to Australia,where compared to Boston, everything is upside down....
