Side BMW emblems

Hello

3 original side enamels :
On the left mounted on original solid steel support (Chromed but corrodes)
On the left, last aluminium support (does not and not chromed)
In the middle, the back side.

....if this can help !!

Perfect!!!, Thank you very much.

Just one question. The letters BMW and lips of the logo are not silver?, look like a brown metallic color...

Hello again,
At the moment the letters and side lines are goldish or bronze (May be the time effect).
You can find some reproduction which are silver chromish.
But all original enamels 30-40 years of age are goldish.
Late models had raised letter emblem.
rgds.

Thank you, i'm learning about the E9 details.. From which year the side emblem have the raised letters?, in the ETK only appear one part number. Do you have pics of the emblem with raised letters?

Regards

hello

1st enamels were issued on the 2000 cs coupe.
First E9 models were issued with this badge.
The referenced item in this link, gives P/N of the aluminium raised letter one, when production of first one was discontinued.
Despite what is said on this link, I have strong doubts on its availability - and on the price !!!!

May be someone reading this thread, will have more accurate inormations.

hi

asked for a photo of raised emblem.
I got this one from Le Mans LIECHTENSTEIN CSL in 1976.
You can guess the "raising" with the "W" and the center cross.
By this time, I think commercial models had raised emblems since quite a while.
May be from 1974 (?).
