I had a problem with car not starting when hot. Lots of technical info in the forums that I tried regarding starter, battery-trickle-charger, switch-rebuild, etc. I lost a whole summer driving the car to avoid getting stranded. Then someone suggested that an old battery could cause it. I checked my receipts and the battery was 7 years old. Replaced the high quality, but old, battery and problem solved. I had even forgotten how much fun the car is to drive. I LOVE this forum.

I had something very similar once, turned out one of the plates in the battery was a bit loose. Was a new battery and all. Got a new one as a warranty replacement
